106 N. Main St.   Elgin, TX  78621 512.285.3547
Robert LaRoche and David Perales Saturday, February 2, 7:30pm
Robert Laroche brings his own brand of roots rockin’ acoustic Americana to The Owl after another rousing successful tour of Europe with his musical partner Patricia Vonne. He is joined by David Perales, a master violin player who has performed with some of the greatest musicians in Austin. They have come together as a duo to bring you a night of some great soulful and inspiring music at The Owl.
The Jordan Sisters and Cleve & Sweet Mary Hattersly. Saturday December 29, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Cleve and Sweet Mary are founding members of Greezy Wheels, an Austin, Texas-based rock/alternative/Americana band that formed in the 1970s. They played more frequently at the Armadillo World Headquarters than any other band in the history of the venue. They are regarded as the Armadillo house band and are elected members of the Austin Music Hall Of Fame.
Minnie and Ella are two very talented sisters from Coupland who sing and play guitar, violin and tenor guitar. Sounding like seasoned musicians they love swing and hot jazz, and play some straight-up fiddle tunes as well. They have been performing at opries, clubs, coffeehouses, and street corners for several years.
A project of Hot Pickin Bluegrass’s Eddie Collins and Max Zimmet, the Austin-based duo features acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, and vocals, playing originals, bluegrass, country (Hank Williams, Willie Nelson,Merle Haggard, etc), and Texas Swing.

As a founding member of Greezy Wheels, Lissa brings that original Austin roots sound. Greezy Wheels was one of the very first Austin bands to sign with a BIG LABEL (London Records), they toured, they held court at Soap Creek Saloon and the Armadillo (shoot, they opened for Bruce Springsteen on his first stop in Austin!), they appeared on Austin City Limits— they were the real deal.
Lissa Hattersley & Trip Trio Saturday, January 12, 7:30pm
Texan songwriting troubadour delivering a soulful blend of musical traditions from New Orleans, West Texas, and Eastern Europe Bruce Salmon is a New Orleans native, Texas-raised musician, troubadour, and singer/songwriter. His music is steeped in the Texas songwriting tradition, seasoned by hometown jazz, funk, and blues. Mr. Salmon has also extensively studied Eastern European folk music at the source in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Turkey and Romania.
Bruce Salmon Saturday, January 5, 7:30 pm
Ky Hote, a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas has roots in NYC and on the road. While other artists sing Woody Guthrie songs and write about riding the rails, Ky Hote has been there, done that. San Francisco to Maine and from Florida to Alaska, Ky has hitchhiked, rode freight trains, buses, cars and kept his guitar by his side all the way. His vast catalog of original songs reflect his travels and the people he met. He is a humorist and a visionary whose work often comments on relationships and the world we share. Help us celebrate George Harrison’s birthday when Ky Hote brings his annual George Harrison Birthday Celebration to The Owl. Special guests and jams.

Danny Santos Saturday, March 2, 7:30pm
Singer/songwriter Danny Santos melds the inspiration of his Chicano heritage, a musical legacy ranging from Hank Williams to the Beatles, and a Texas-sized determination to create a unique mix of country/folk tinged with bluegrass and the blues. His songs illuminate the joys of true love, the woes of love lost, and the weary longing of those still searching for love.
An Austin music veteran of 30+ years, Woot settled in with an acoustic guitar when he found one of John Lennon’s acoustic guitars.  Actually, he didn’t find the guitar; it was a gift from his beautiful wife Tammy and Barbara -- best mom-in law a man could have.  And to be completely honest it isn’t technically “one of John Lennon’s guitars.”  It’s an Epiphone EJ-160 John Lennon Signature model.   A guy can dream can’t he? He is inspired by Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Big Bill Broonzey, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, James Taylor, Keb Mo, Steve Earle and obviously John Lennon. Woot will be joined by David Fore, formally of legendary bands Bubblepuppy and D-Day. David currently plays drums with the award winning band The Eggmen.
